Through an acquisition in early 2009, Ops Plus established an engineering affiliate to enhance the presence and support of our existing services and hold licenses in both disciplines in the state of Kentucky. Ops Plus has provided layout and design services in gas and electric to a local utility for nearly a decade, and civil engineering and land surveying are a natural extension of those services. The firm we acquired, Cassidy Associates, Inc., provided service throughout Kentucky since 1975 with an emphasis on relocating utilities for highway projects. Extensive work was also performed in the relocation of telephone facilities with lesser amounts being done in cable television and gas transmission and distribution lines. In addition to the utility industry, our customer base extends to government agencies, commercial and residential developers, architects and other engineering firms. The Ops Engineering team is led by Chief Engineer Jack Kastensmidt, who has over 35 years of experience in this field, and Land Surveying Manager Joel Latto, with 15 years of experience. With their expertise, Ops Engineering is well positioned to grow in the field of complete utility design services as well as meet any land surveying need. |
